DJ Profile - MK-Ultra
MK-Ultra
Teemu Tammela, also known as MK-Ultra, discovered electronic dance music in the break of 1980's and 1990's when euro dance emerged in mainstream popular music. Fresh soundscape sparked the young Finns curiosity to dig deeper into underground music scene. Gradually the infatuation grew, culminating into the event of purchasing a pair of turntables and a mixer.
While eclectic in taste, MK-Ultra's first and foremost love has always been house music. His DJ'ing style is defined by the chameleon-like ability to effortlessly switch between any subgenre. MK-Ultra is just as comfortable playing funky vocal disco as playing gritty tech house and electro.
Being somewhat a maverick DJ, MK-Ultra has little interest for charts or up-to-the-minute trends in club scene. Pursuing fame and fortune has never been his driving force - simply the passion for music. MK-Ultra draws inspiration from such house heavy-weights as Carl Cox, Eric Morillo and Derrick Carter.
Over the years MK-Ultra has been organizing and promoting such night club events as Synergy and Nothing But House Music
Despite his vinyl jockey origins MK-Ultra has always been on the cutting edge to adopt new innovations in DJ technology. After realizing the creative potential of digital DJ'ing, there has been no looking back.
